Pallet Loungeset

If you want to make a beautiful and practical pallet loungeset for a reasonable price, this is the instructable you should follow. At the end of this instructable we will have build a loungeset which will be reliable for some years.

This is the list of materials:

- Sand machine

- 4 Wheels ( that can support min 100 kg per wheel)

- 2 bars + two supports for building a shelf

- 2L colour to paint the pallets + paint brush

- Long (7 cm) and short (3 cm) screws

The step 1 consists in sanding the two pallets in order that the pallets take up the colour easily.

Step 2: Painting the pallets can take quite some time as you need to go over minimum twice to protect the would. The paint I chose was wood stain, such that the wood was well protected. In order to speed up the process, I would recommand you to use a paint sprayer. Once the colour is dry, you can attach two bars at half the distance of the middle of the pallet. These bars which I found in a DIY market are normally used to build a shelf against the wall.

Step 3 is putting the wheels (each wheel can support 100 kg) so that the pallet can support 2 people. The wheels make it flexible to position the lounge where you want, when you want. If the sun changed from angle or if you want to be in the shadow, you can move the chair by yourself. Normally they are heavy to carry by yourself. There are two wheels that have a break on them so that it can't move.

By putting the breaks on the wheels and you can bring the second pallet vertically which will be used for your back. After that you can fix the shelf bars. In case of rain or winter you can pile up the pallets and stock them in a storage or put a tarpaulin on it.

Last step is to find pillows with the EPAL dimensions. There is quite some choice on the market. Once you have that you can enjoy the comfortable seat with friends and family.
