what you need:
- 2 EUR pallets
- 4 casters
- power tools (jigsaw, sander, screw dirver)
- stain & rag - why wipe stain than to brush it?
First of all you need the half of the first pallet.
(If your superpower (as you see in video...) is not enough, use a jigsaw instead ;) )
Then need 4 narrow slats for the top of the table.
IMPORTANT
Measure carefully the space between two slats because the distance can be different by each sides.
The Top of the Table
For the bottom of the table use some planks from the second pallets. Here we made shelf only on the one side of the table.
You could unjoint the pallet easily with a help of reciprocating saw. But an iron saw can be enough as well...just saw rusty nails and the slats will get off.
The Bottom of the Table
The next step is sanding.
Yes, sanding wood can get boring... BUT the final result compensate for that! Here we used 80 grit paper.
(The higher the number, the finer the grade. Lower-numbered grades denote coarser sandpaper.)
And almost the last step is staining.
It's more efficient to wipe stain than to brush it. You're less likely to have color problems.
And fix all slats with nails and screws.
Use screws instead of nails to fix bottom slats. The table will be even stronger.
And finally, white casters. They give a classy look for this coffee table! I love it
