Paint Sample Calendar
Tired of buying your calendar every year? Try making one to help you keep track of your busy schedule.
Here is a simple idea that can add both color and organization to your life.
Supplies
Here is what you will need to make your very own calendar
Paint samples - Whichever colors you would like
Cardstock - to be used as the calendar backing
Picture frame - To hold the calendar.
Scissors
glue
Dry erase marker
Cut Out the Paint Chip Samples
Start by cutting out each square of the paint chips. Each square will represent a day of the month. You do not need to write anything on the squares yet. You will do that later
Lay Out the Squares
Now it is time to be creative. Lay out the squares however you desire. Play around with the different colors and shades. Make sure your squares end up sitting 7 across and 5 down.
Note: If you want to use some of the squares you have for the day of the week labels be sure to lay out 7 across and 6 down. Then cut the first row of squares down so they are 3/4" tall.
Glue
When you have laid out the calendar like you want, you can glue each piece to the backing you are using. You can use a colorful backing or a solid backing, depending on what type of calendar you would like.
Note: Make sure to double check and measure your space before you glue everything down so you can make sure your calendar will fit into the frame.
Frame
After all the pieces are glued and dried, slide the calendar into the frame.
Hang Up and Write On
Now your calendar is ready to be used. Use a dry erase marker to write on the frame glass, and keep track of all your day-to-day activities on this exciting new monthly calendar!
