This is a nice way to imprinting on metal sheets if you don"t have the right tool.

If your sheets is soft enough you can also imprint for example lace or some small net, or anything you like.

MATERIALS:
-dog food aluminum container (or thin soft metal sheets, like for example copper sheets);
-scraps soft wire (I used the copper wire that come from a washing machine engine);
-piece of thin thread canvas.

TOOLS:
-pasta machine;
-scissors;
-spoon.

CUT THE SHEET

DSC_2322_479.JPG
Cut the flat part of the dog food can.
You need to make two matching sheets.

→Just pay attention to don't cut yourself during the whole process.

TWIST THE WIRE

Twist two wire together and make many little ring (like in the photos).

FLATTEN

Flatten with the spoon if necessary. (This way you can use also the sides).

PLACE THE WIRE

Make some small cut in the sides of the sheet and place the twisted wire one near each other.

PLACE THE OTHER SHEET

Place the other sheet on top of the one with the wire.

PLACE THE CANVAS

Place the canvas on top and under the sheets.
I like the canvas because give a nice texture to the imprinting, but you can also use flat cardboard.

PASS IN THE PASTA MACHINE

Pass in the pasta machine,in a tight regulation.
Off course don't destroy your pasta machine forcing it too much.
