Over Worked. Under Played.
Are you one of the millions of Americans that spend 40+ hours each week sitting in a cubicle staring at a computer screen? Or do you spend countless hours in conference rooms in meeting after meeting? Then I know what you need. To PLAY! Yep, you read that right. I'm saying you need to play at work.
That may sound like one of the craziest ideas you have ever heard, or at least heard this week. But, it's true. Playing has many benefits for adults. Especially when we are placed in repetitive, stressful and visually dull environments. Just some of these benefits include: increased productivity and creativity, higher job satisfaction, reduced stress, and many more.
What I have created is a way to hack the system and begin to play at work. Check it out!
Print Out Your Cards
All you need is a printer that can print black and white on both sides of the page. Follow the printing instructions on the first page of the PDF.
Cut Out Your Cards
As mentioned in the instructions on the first page of the PDF, cut out each card along the dotted lines. You should end up with two cards and one BONUS strip per sheet of paper.
Make sure to hang on to that BONUS strip for extra fun!
Stack 'em Up!
Assemble your cards however you want. I hole-punched mine in the corner and used a clip to keep them together. You could staple them if you want. Or keep them loose. It's up to you!
Start Playing at Work! Have Fun!
As you work your way through the cards, they will give your ideas, tips and tricks on how to start playing at work. Try starting small, like with puzzles or coloring books. Then you could get a little bigger by starting a game of Sticky Note Tag around the office. Or even bigger by clearing out a room in your office to hold a round of Magazine Madness!

And If You Prefer to Participate Digitally...
Here is a side-by-side version of the cards that you can play along with on your computer or tablet if you would prefer. It's not so much about how you do it, it's just important that you play!
