Supplies

  • Hot glue
  • Yarn

To create the base your gonna need four cardboard pieces that will be 10 inches in width. Soon after your gonna need to hot glue them together creating a rectangular prism. After that, you will want to tape the edges for reinforcement.

After your base with the four sides is glued together and taped together, you are going to need to create an inclined plane. To create the inclined plane you are going to need three cardboard pieces. Two pieces will be 5 inches long and the third piece will be 3 inches long.

Creating the Pulley

To create the pulley you are going to need to use the PVC pipes, the paper cups, small cardboard squares, hot glue, and yarn. Apply hot glue to the cardboard square and PVC pipes. After the glue is dried add hot glue to the paper cups and apply pressure to the top of the PVC pipes.  After the glue has dried you are going to need to insert the Pringles can in the PVC pipe that isn’t glued yet. Once the Pringles can is on the outside of the PVC pipe, you are going to glue the PVC pipe inside the paper cups. After that add the yarn by wrapping it on the popsicle stick and inserting the stick into the outside of the can.

Adding the Door

To add the door all you have to do is tape the door to the top of the box. If done right the door should block the entrance. After that is done, you are going to need to attach a string to the bottom of the door and the pulley.

Creating the Lever

To create the lever all you have to do is cut a square at the back of the trap. Cut small square cardboard to use as a rigid bar and the fulcrum will be a black paperclip. You are going to need to attach a rubber band on the inside of the clip so it can hold onto the clip. Attach the rubber band to the cardboard piece. Attach the yarn to the back of the small cardboard square.

Adding the PVC Door Holder

For this step, you are going to grab a PVC pipe and wrap yarn around it and connect that yarn to the lever. Place the PVC pipe under the door so the pipe holds the door up.

Decorating the Trap

In this step, all your going to need is spray paint or liquid paint (your preference). Color the trap full white. After that draw a bunny face on the door to make the trap a bunny. After this step, you are done with the trap.
