Ocean Nails

Finally a nail design that you can do on your right AND left hand.

Materials:
- Clear Nail Polish
- Blue Nail Polish
- White Nail Polish
- Tape (I recommend using masking tape because it is easier to cut as opposed to the clear tape I used here)
- Scissors

Bottom Coat

I always paint my nails with a clear polish first so that the colors don't stick to my nails when I want to clean it off.

****HIGHLY RECOMMENDED****

Paint It White

Paint your whole nail white.

Cut It Out!

Cut out the wave pattern from the piece of tape. When the white paint is dry, stick the cut out tape on your nail.

The way I think of it, to make the curling wave you will want to cut out a wave pattern that kind of looks like a "slash" and then a "c"

/c

First cut out the slash and then cut out the C. I always start cutting from the bottom of the piece of tape.

Note: I recommend NOT using clear tape like I did here, sometimes it got stuck to the nail and I had to rip it off in pieces with tweezers. I tried using a post it note instead ( just the sticky part) and that seemed to work alright, but just for a few nails.

Paint It Blue

After the tape is stuck to your nail, paint over the un-covered part of your nail with the blue nail polish. Once all the blue is on half of your nail, take it off. Do not wait for it to dry because it might chip.

Let It Dry

After the blue paint dries, paint your nails with clear polish. This will make your piece of art last longer!
