No Stovetop Simple Peanut Butter Fudge

101_0857.JPG

One of my favorite desserts is peanut butter fudge, so I thought I'd share my favorite way to make it.

I made this recipe because it's hard to find a non-stovetop recipe for making fudge, so when I discovered this I thought you guys would want to know how to make it too.

This recipe can be doubled to make more if you want!

So enjoy and have fun!

Ingredients

1/2 cup or 1 stick of salted or unsalted butter

1/2 cup peanut butter

1/2 tsp vanilla or lemon extract (lemon adds a unique but good flavor combination for the peanut butter)

1 cups powdered sugar

1/8 tsp salt (only if your using unsalted butter)

3 tsp water

Tools

8 x 8 inch baking pan

parchment paper

microwave

spoon

Ready the Pan

Place a piece of parchment paper in the baking pan, with a little parchment paper hanging over the sides for easy removal. Add a sprinkle of water to baking pan before applying parchment paper, so parchment paper won't come up as much when adding batter so to speak later on.

Melting Butter and Peanut Butter

Cut the butter into four pieces (this makes it melt quicker) and add it into a medium sized bowl. Add the peanut butter as well. Put in the microwave for about 1 minute or until melted. Stir until liquid.

Adding Ingredients

Add the vanilla or lemon extract and salt (if your using unsalted butter) and stir.

Add Powdered Sugar

Add the powdered sugar to mixture and stir. Mixture will be clumpy, so add water one tsp at a time then stir. Mixture should look like the second picture and will not be completely liquidy.

Let It Cool

Pour and scoop the mixture into the baking pan and spread out with spoon. Let sit in fridge for about 1 hour, then enjoy!

Enjoy!

Once fudge has cooled for about one hour take it out of the fridge and cut into pieces. Or don't and just break pieces off! Enjoy!
