NUT CRACKER
A nutcracker is a tool designed to open walnuts by breaking their shells. There are many designs, including levers, screws, and ratchets.
Works perfectly on ENGLISH WALNUTS, HAZELNUTS, MACADAMIA NUTS, BRASIL NUTS, ALMONDS
It produces an unshelled pecan with little to no effort from the operator of this convenient machine.
Step 1: Bill of Materials and Tools
Materials:
1. 12 volt Motor. From an Old Car
2. Bearings
3. Power Suply
4. Screy and Nut M8
Tools
1- MIG Welding
2- Circular saw
2- 3D Printer
3- Watt meter
4- Allen wrenches
5- Flat keys
6- Drill
7- Dremel
Step 2: Cut Steel Bar
After getting metal bars of the measure that we are going to need.
1- We cut with a saw according to dimensions.
2- We cut to leave the shape of a beak, where the almonds and nuts will fall
3- We cut a plate through which we will press the dried fruit against the grinding wheel
4- We cut holes and drill according to the needs of elements to be incorporated
Step 3: Welding
Once the pieces are cut, we proceed to weld them.
Insure each and every one of the parts.
Weld on the front part an M8 nut for the screw that will press the plate and adjust the dried fruit against the grinding wheel.
Step 4: Assembly
We assemble all the necessary components.
The 12 volt electric motor is an old car windshield motor. This motor is anchored to the shaft through a nut welded to it. To control the speed of the motor, a voltage controller or variator has been installed at the output. And to power, the power supply has used a reused one from an old computer screen.
