Munny Ninja Knife Set
This knife set was a gift for my brother who was woefully lacking in both knifes and cool kitchen stuff.
Materials
We used:
- Munny
- Scrap wood
- Chisel and sanding paper
- Dremel
- Knife set (we used the Slipad set from IKEA but it is now discontinued)
- Black Plasti Dip
- 3 strong magnets
- Epoxy
- Acrylic paint
- Clear matte spray-on protective finish
Make the Knife Sheath
We selected the three knives that would go on the ninja munny's back.
The knives were laid out on a scrap piece of wood and traced.
With a chisel, we carved out the groves where each knife would rest. The wood was cut into the shape of the sheath and sanded.
The knives are held in place with magnets. Three magnets were glued to the wood with strong epoxy.
Our knives had colourful handles that wouldn't work for a ninja. We coated the handles with black Pasti Dip and let it dry.
Before coating the handle of the smallest knife in Pasti Dip, we increased the size of the hole at the end with the help of a Dremel so it would fit in the munny's hand.
Paint
First, we sketched out the design on the munny.
We painted the munny and sheath with acrylic paint. Once the paint was dry, we sprayed it with a matte clear coat to protect it.
