Gather and Cut Some Dry Bones
In some or My walking trips I have found some Dry Cow bones pieces buried in the ground. So I have gathered some pieces. Bones has been used since the beggining of time for tools and accesories. What I needed for this proyect is a flat piece of bone. I choose a Dry piece and cutted it in three pieces, flatting the Surface with sand paper unti it was completely flat. its about 5 x 30 x 50 mms.
Carving the The Bone
Once I had the flat piece I drew some Maori hook style design, drill two holes and start to cut out with a hack saw. Then with the motor tool, I choose the proper drill bits to soften their edges and make a smooth look. You can also use think sandpaper and jewelry files to improve the design.
Let's Make Some Coffee
Now that is finished I can use it as a pendant, or a carabiner hook also resist a lot of heat when It is used as pot holder...its so cool when You can carry some handmade gadgets.
Wear It Proudly
I hope You liked it and try your own versión. There is a Lot of possibilities You can use this hook.
