Feel lonely while working? Do you need a companion for those long work hours? Fear not! With Mr. Pickles by your side, you can get through the day without worrying!

Let's get started.

Supplies

A 3D pen- I bought a cheap one off Aliexpress for about $ 20. An alternative to that is the SCRIB3D pen off Amazon. Slightly more expensive but a little more quality.

Some filament for your 3D pen- 1.75 mm should do it or the size suggested for your specific pen

A power source ( I'm using a computer)

A workspace ( table works fine)

A workmat ( optional)

Tinfoil ( not shown here )

Painter's tape ( also not shown)

This should take around 10-30 minutes ( not including practice and setup.)

Read Your Instructions

If I taught you how to use a 3d pen AND make a desk buddy, that would have been a very long Instructable. I can only do one of those things here, so read your instructions, practice a little ( make some basic shapes and try following a stencil [probably included] ) and get confident with using a 3D pen. When you feel like you're ready, move on. Take as much time as you need

Body

I first looked up an image of something similar to reference while drawing. I then crumpled up some tinfoil into a rough shape for structural support , wrapped that in painter's tape and started drawing over the tape with some green filament. When you finish covering the entire surface in plastic, wait for it to cool. Then move on to the next step

Arms/legs

I then separately printed the arms and legs and posed them on the body as I saw fit with black filament. Then I attached them to the body and now you can sorta see the shape coming together.

I made the eyes by putting a small drop of plastic for the eyes . For the glasses, I just outlined them around the eyes and across the head. The mustache was similar, being an outline that was filled in.

The Hat (optional)

To make this one especially special, I decided to add a top hat. This is optional but i decided to do it. I stacked circles on top of each other and stuck them all to the top of Mr. Pickles's head. You can add extra things if you would like.

The End.

I propped up Mr. Pickles on a throne that I built , gave him a scepter and now he’s the king of my desk. This was a really fun project to make. Thanks for finishing! ( hopefully!)

Bye..
