Model of a Well
This a great project/toy to do for kids and adults. It is a mini model of a well but it actually doesn't carry water. If you do want it to carry water...
1. Cover everything where you put the water so the water doesn't leak out
2. Make the bucket from better material anything other then something that water soaks and where you keep the water
Supplies
1. Big piece of cardboard
2. Hot Glue Gun
3. Hot Glue Gun Stick
4. Scissors
5. Wooden Skewer
6. Loooonnng Piece of String
7. Construction Paper
8. Ruler
9. Marker
10.
Making the Axle (Going to Add the Wheels Later)
Get your construction paper and measure 2 inches then cut where you marked with the scissors. Hot glue one end of the paper you cut to the middle and roll it around in the same place. Put hot glue at the other end when you finish rolling and glue it down. Draw 2 circles a little bigger than the roll of paper on the cardboard and cut them out with the knife. Poke holes in the middle of the circles and put them through on oppisite ends of the skewer next to the roll of paper then hot glue it to the paper roll and roll string on the paper.
Making the Bucket
This step is super easy so it shouldn't be hard. The instructions are, cut a rectangle piece of paper, roll it into a cylinder, cut a little bit bigger circle than the cylinder, glue it under the piece of cylinder. Then cut a small paper piece of rectangle and hot glue on one end and the other end across. That is the handle. Finally tie the string on the axle to the bucket's handle.
Main Body
Draw a T on the cardboard and cut it out, if you want a big well make it big if you want it small make it small. Cut it out with the knife, place it on the cardboard, draw around it with the marker, cut it out. Cut a out a square on the cardboard and hot glue it to the bottom of the rectangle on the top of the T and do the same with the other side and T. Cut another square about the same size as the other and and do the same as the last step except do it on the top of the rectangle at the top and turn the Ts upside down. Make a hole in the middle at the top big enough for the bucket to go through and at top of bottom of the Ts sticking up poke a hole big enough for the skewer
Putting It Together
Put one end of the skewer in one hole and the other in the other hole and allign it for the bucket to go through the hole. Cut out 2 circles and poke holes in the middle then put each one on each end of skewer (the wheels are for spinnning).
Paint It (optional)
If you want paint your model of the well.
