Mjolnir :- Thors Hammer
Hi, My name is Ahemad. I study in class 9 at Greenville High School Vadodara. Today I will design Thor's hammer (Mjolnir) in Fusion 360.
Supplies
Just Fusion 360.
The Dimensions
The primary source for the dimensions was the image attached above. I found it somewhere on the internet but I don't remember the source.
The Head Part 1
First, we will sketch the larger face and then extrude it 100mm on both sides. The dimensions are given in Step 1.
The Head Circle
Then we will sketch a 100 m circle and extrude it to 4mm.
Head Part 2
We then construct an offset plane 40mm above the plane of the previous sketch. and then create another sketch with dimensions mentioned in the image. Then we will loft the last face with the new sketch. then we will mirror it to other side.
The Bottom Strip
We will sketch the strips and then cut them 10 mm inside.
The Side Design
In this step we will first import the SVG file of the side design which I have attached below. Then we will place it on the side and extrude it by 5 mm. Then we will use the circular pattern tool to make 3 more copies. And mirror all 4 to other side to complete all the sides.

The Ring
First, we sketch the make an offset plane of a distance of 10 mm, then extrude and loft parts of the sketch. First, we extrude the inner ring in the first sketch to 11 mm. Then we loft the Outer ring to the ring in the second sketch. This will make much more sense after you see the images.
The Rod
First, we make a Circle of diameter 45 and extrude it to 410 mm.
The Rings on the Rod
First, we make a plane where the first ring will be. Then we create a line segment in that plane for future use as a reference for the inclined plane. then we will create an inclined plane with 20° with the line segment we created earlier. Next, we will create a sketch and intersect the rod on the inclined plane for the path of the ring. Then create an outline of the ring and then sweep it halfway along the projected sketch. Next, we will mirror it to create an entire ring. Then we simply have to use the Rectangular pattern to create 8 more such rings.
The Bottom Part
Draw the following sketch and extrude and fillet accordingly. select the faces and change appearances.
DONE!
It's finally done! I couldn't make it as I dont have a 3d printer. You can print it if you have one. ENJOY!
