Mini Metal Soda Cans Pot!
Make a mini metal pot for storing coins,jewelry,...or just for fun!
Supplies
2 soda cans(the size of it will affect the size of the pots), a utility knife, scissors, pliers a glue gun or superglue for heat resistance and sandpaper or a rough surface.Note:sorry for no sandpaper or rough surface in picture
Remove Top!
rub the top of the can against the sandpaper or rough area to remove the top of 1 can.
Cut the Cans!
Take the utility knife and cut the can into three parts. When you are nearly done cutting a cut with a utility knife, use scissors to cut the last part easier and cut the rough edges to make it smooth. Note: the thirds don't have to be precisely equal, But the top and bottom parts MUST be equal to each other(you'll know why in the next step)
Fit It In!
Make a straight to the bottom where there is no more ink using scissors in the bottom part, then slide the top part into it using the cut.
Make the Handle!
Break the soda tabs out of the can by shaking it up and down on the joint. Then use pliers to bend half of the tabs 90 degrees down. After you have made the 2 handles, stick them on the pot and you are nearly done!
Final Top!
Remember the top of the can that you removed? We will use it! First, cut the other can close as possible to the no-ink bottom. Next, we will use the scissors to trim the bottom from here to the thick rim(I know it's pretty hard but cut as close as possible to it). Then, glue the bottom(bulk side up) to the top. Finally, you can make a cute little knob like me by rolling a piece of aluminum together and gluing it, then gluing a little aluminum on it and trimming the edges. Put it in the pot and there we go, a soda can pot!
