Milwaukee M12 Radio - Adding Bluetooth

In this project I will be adding bluetooth support to the M12 radio with AUX port.

Supplies

You will need a 12V to 5V converter and a BT transmitter

You will also need at T8 and T10, soldering iron, 3/8 Drill bit

Disassembly

You will need to take apart the unit, but it is very simply.

  1. Remove the 6 T10 screws from the black handle
  2. Remove the 8 T8 screws from the black handle
  3. Remove the 10 T8 screws from the back of the radio and you should be able to open.

Be careful not to pull the wire's loose. You should be able to solder the wires without disconnecting any of the wires.

Solder Wires

You will need to drill a small hole to insert the wires through and solder to the battery terminal + Red and - Black

Re-assembly

Go back to step 2 and follow in the reverse order and the final product looks like this.
