Who said Popsicles are for kids??

This summer, you can cool off with the ultimate adult drink outside by the pool. This recipe is simple FAST and derived from your favorite summertime alcoholic drinks #Mikeshardlemonade and Twisted tea.

In the south this is called, Half and Half...or lemonade and ice tea combination.. OR an Arnold Palmer.

So what's an Arnold Palmer? In case you are unfamiliar, Arnold Palmer was a pretty renowned golfer and had a habit of drinking lemonade and Ice tea at home. He simply had to order the non alcoholic drink at a local bar to get it popular.

SO here's my question.. It's darn hot outside, the drink sounds amazing, why not make this delicious combination a bit more pungent and summer friendly at the same time?? After all, the Popsicle keeps the drink extremely cold on a hot day and heck, it's FUN to have a Popsicle!!

Gather Your Stuff! Alcohol Included ;)

The union of lemonade and ice tea is a splendid thing. This drink is no exception. In fact, I found when melted together, the pair compliment each other magically on a summer day. It's simple to make, fun, and very adult friendly! Let's get started before the sun goes down!

All you'll need!

  • Mikes Hard Lemonade
  • Twisted Tea
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Popsicle holder (can be rinse cups, or anything that can hold a Popsicle!)
  • aluminum foil
  • wine glasses or something fun to hold the drink in :)

Let the Drinks Flo!

prepare your garnishes and sugar. I decided a sugar rim may help the drink be a little bit sweeter since we are mixing alcohol and alcohol. :) truth is, I found out it isn't even needed! BUT, it is absolutely lovely for presentation. ;)

Pour Again!
