Mesa Plegable Para Terraza - Folding Table Terrace

Este es un trabajo que realice antes de la epoca blog-instructables-internet. En aquella epoca hacia las cosas, y no le hacia fotos del proceso, pero es tan facil de hacer, que con cuatro indicaciones es facil de repetir.

Solo necesitaremos:

-Un palet

-Tronillos

-Taladro y/o destornillador

-4 bisagras

-Sierra y lima

-Barniz y brocha

-Ganas de trabajar

El punto de partida es un pallet de construccion, que me suministró mi esposa, porque las medidas eran las adecuadas para una mesa de terraza. El pallet era mas pequeño de los normales, con las tablas mas juntas, porque era de materiales de construccion. Junto con el palet me dio las instrucciones concretas para la realizacion de la mesa. Las instrucciones detalladas fueron: "hazme una mesa para la terraza".

Asi que con el pallet y las instrucciones, comienzo a pensar en como hacer la mesa. Uno de los primeros problemas en los que pense fue en el almacenamiento de la mesa. Tenia que ser plegable, facil de montar y desmontar. Y empecé por desmontar el palet, para que la mesa no fuera muy aparatosa. Y para hacer la tabla de la mesa, unir las tablas con un par de largeros, y atornillarlo todo.

Para hacer las patas, se hacen dos H de madera. Asi de sencillo. Pero hay truco. Si ponemos las patas soportando el tablero de la mesa, y al lado de los travesaños, ponemos las bisagras a la altura que "pide" la pata. De esta forma la pata hace tope en el largero, es decir, no se podra abrir mas que los 90º que tiene en este momento.

Cabe la posibilidad de que las patas se cerraran, pero abrirse mas (lo que se llama espatarrarse), no lo va a poder hacer. Las bisagras son de las mas normales que tenia a mano. Con estas bisagras, las patas se pueden soltar facilmente.

Para evitar que las patas se cierren en el peor momento, si... en ese momento en que la mesa esta repleta de ricos alimentos, le he puesto un tirante, que mantiene las patas abiertas. Y como el lema del dia es simplicidad, pues atornillo un par de tablillas a una tabla mas larga, y que se ajuste a la distancia requerida. Las tablillas seran las que marquen la distancia entre las patas.

Como el diseño es tan efectivo, le he buscado otra utilidad. Sujetar una puerta, para que permanezca abierta. E incluso, en un momento de apuro, la he usado para limpiar una brocha. Algun dia le tocara pasar por el taller.... o no.

Para guardar la mesa, plegar las patas, o directamente quitarlas. La facilidad para quitarlas mejora el sistema de almacenamiento. Apenas sale unos centimetros de la pared.
