Meringue Ghosts
This is a guide to making meringue ghosts from scratch.
Ingredients
- 4 Egg whites
- 1/2 teaspoon Cream of Tartar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 3/4 teaspoon sugar
Make the Meringue
Add the egg whites, cream of tartar, and vanilla to a bowl and whip until frothy.
Add the Sugar
Add the sugar gradually and whip until the egg whites have stiff peaks.
Bake the Meringue
Move the whipped meringue into a piping bag and pipe cute little ghosts onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Then bake at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for 1.5 hours and then leave in the oven for an hour after you turn it off to dry.
Decorate
If you want you can add candy eyes to your meringue to make them look cute or you can use mini chocolate chips. Enjoy!!
