  • Aim: To design a self-watering pot to improve the success rate of home farming kang-kong seeds using tinkercad and/or fusion360 software. This is important as the dwelling area of most of the population in Singapore is HDB flat which tends to be small in space.


Supplies

Recycled home farming

  • Recycled used and clean water bottle
  • Box cutter
  • Waterproof tape
  • Recycled used and clean plastic bag


3D designing and printing:

  • Tinkercad account. Fusion360 student account
  • A computer with internet access

  • I use an online white board to sketch out the design idea. Basically, I need a design that can redirect a lot of water into the planting pot

  • Take out multiple cylinder solids and cylinder holes. Align and group them together to form self-watering system

  • The aim is for the water tank to be able to easily water the pot by just adjusting the height of the water tank so student farmer need not keep refilling the water tank.
