For your own awesome mason jar lava lamp, you'll need the following:

  • (25 drops) food coloring (any color)
  • (1 Tbsp.) baking soda
  • (1 Tbsp.) citric acid
  • (1) mason jar (with no lid)
  • (2 cm) water
  • (8 cm) vegetable oil

Once you've got these, time for the fun part!

Pour approximately 2 cm of water into the jar, and then pour 8 cm of vegetable oil in, too. They'll stay seperate, because water and oil are definitely not homie G's. Next, pour in all that nice food coloring and give it a bit of a stir!

Fizzzz

Now, for the fun part! Add in the citric acid and baking soda. They'll almost immediately start fizzing because they only react in water. Sit back and enjoy this bubbly display! Place this somewhere, and it'll fizz for about an hour. If you do this, let me know! The first person to do it will receive a 3-Month Pro Membership. Pro memberships remaining: 1/1

Thanks for your time! Have fun experimenting with different amounts of citric acid and baking soda. This is super fun to do, and can by done by almost anyone! If you liked this Instructable, check out some of my others, and perhaps you'll enjoy some of them. Adios!
