Margarita Watermelon Wedges

Like watermelons? Like margaritas? Then this instruct able is for you! Follow these simple instructions to find yourself in edible margarita bliss!

you'll need:

-small watermelon
-cup of sugar
-3/4 cup of water
-1/2 cup of Tequila
-1/4 cup of Triple Sec
-2 limes
-sea salt
-small pot
-large baking dish

Cut It Up

Quarter and cut the watermelon into 1-inch-thick wedges.

Arrange the watermelon in a single layer in a 9 X13 baking dish.

(I lined mine with foil for no apparent reason)

Cook It Up

Bring sugar, water, tequila, and Triple Sec to a boil in a small pot.

Add the syrupy concoction to the watermelon slices, and place it on the refrigerator for an hour.


***CAUTION***

Mind your pot while cooking!

I think I added a little extra tequila in mine, and the mix did catch on fire! I quickly blew it out with a quick and forceful breath.

Sour, Salt, Serve!

Place the watermelon on a platter.
Cut a couple if limes, and squeeze them onto the slices.
Salt to taste and serve!
