Marble Ball Mini Pool
My Idea for this project was to make a scaled down version of the game pool, that you could place on a desk, or any other surface, and play a game of pool without having to compensate for the space that a regular sized pool table would. I was very excited to try creating a game like this.
Supplies
Materials Used: 3d Printer, Laser cutter, cardboard, MDF, 3d Printer filament, Inkscape, Fusion 360, Inventor.
Creating Board
Using Inkscape, I made a sketch of a pool table without the walls. This sketch was scaled down to a point where the short side was 10 inches long, and 22 inches wide.
Designing Wall Peices.
This step was definitely the hardest part out of the rest. It was the most time consuming and the most stressful. The walls themselves were not hard to make. But having to make the peg and holes to connect them was the most difficult thing to do, due to the precise measurements you have to have.
Assembling
By the image you can see the assembly I created. Although I didn't meet the time required to print all of my pieces, one can still imagine what this project would of looked like based on the image.
Conclusion
Overall this project was amazing to work on. I learned how to better use fusion 360, and the problems that come with trying to make a scaled down game like this. If I could do anything better I would try to get everything done quicker so that I could of printed this project out. 10/10 project.
