This is a patch that connects the Makey Makey to Max in a responsive way that results in a human keyboard slash timbre changing instrument. Group members: Sungryung, Chris, Cass, & Gian.

4 Alligator Clips

6 Connector Wires

Wire stripper

USB Cable

Laptop / MAX

Set Up Makey Makey

Connect 6 wires into the left of the Makey Makey to correspond with W A S D F G

For D F and G connect three alligator clips to distinguish them from the connector wires.

Connect the last alligator clip to the "EARTH" (ground) at the bottom of the Makey Makey.

Have your three buddies hold the ends of the connector wires individually.

These will be routed to different notes in Max.

The alligator clips will be routed to different timbres in Max.

Assign the the correct selector values to the proper MIDI outputs as shown in the image above.

Create messages that will be sent to the pgmout object that correspond to the instrument sounds of your choice. Use the MIDI Instrument list here (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_MIDI) to find the proper numbers for your program.
