Hi guys!

Today I'm making a sonic tunnel of FIRE!, also called Rubens tube. Have fun! I will upload more images soon.

Supplies

Materials;

10cm (4 inch) in diameter, 2 meters ( 6.5 feet) long metal tubing

Latex sheets

Scrap wood

Propane tank

Gas pipe

Speakers and device

Tools;

Drill

Pipe thread compound

Duct tape

Lighter/match

Ruler

Hot glue gun

Seal the two ends of your metal tube with latex sheets and duct tape.

Drill a line of holes in your tube, 1cm apart from each other. Start and stop at the duct tape on either ends.

Make a stand for your tube by hot gluing two wooden blocks on the bottom close to the ends and in the center horizontally.

Drill a hole big enough to fit gas pipe on the side of one end of your metal tube.

Use the pipe thread compound to secure the gas pipe.

Connect the gas pipe to the propane tank and start pumping the propane into the tube.

Keep a fire extinguisher or water supply nearby. Using a lighter or match, light one of the holes on the tube. Place your speaker (connected to a device) close to one end of the tube so that it doesn't touch the latex sheets. Then play your favorite song and watch the flames dance!
