Ma'Ma's Oatmeal Cake
Fall is my favorite time of year, cool weather, fires, and most importantly comfort food. One of my favorite dishes to make every year is my grandmothers oatmeal cake. She taught me from a young age that the kitchen is where love is made, helping her make this dish every year was such a joy, and I’m excited to share this wonderful dish with all of you.

Here Is a Picture of the Supplies That I Used! You of Course May Use Whatever Brand You Would Like!
Bring 1-1/4 Cup of water to a boil, once your water has come to a boil combine 1 cup of oats into the water than set aside. Set your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit so that it can be pre-heating while you are making the rest of the batter
Cream together 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of brown sugar, ½ cup of margarine, 2 large eggs, and then add 2 tsp. of your vanilla extract. One you have creamed this together fold in your oats to the mixture. Set aside.
Mix your dry ingredients together, 1-1/3 cup of flour, ½ tsp of salt, 1 tsp of baking soda, and 1-1/2 tsp of cinnamon. Once all of these have been evenly combined, you will add in your sugar mixture.
Prep your baking dish, you may either use a nonstick cooking spray or you may butter your pan then evenly coat it with flour to keep the cake from sticking. Once you have completed this you will pour your batter into your pan and place it in the oven. You will cook this for between 30-35 minutes.
It's Done!!!!
Hope that you enjoy this delicious treat as much as my family does!
