Are you on a low budget and your instant noodle soup got a bit boring? Here is the answar: Sauce roux! And the cooking time will only be 5 minutes and so.

Ingredients: for 2 persons

- 3 packs of instant noodles (there is 4 on the picture, I know.. We were really hungry)
You decide which flavour. My favourite is 2 chicken and 1 beef.

- Butter

- Milk

- Flour

And by choice for making it even more delicious:

- 1 egg

- Chili sauce

The Sauce

First of all, start boiling the water for the noodles, while making the sauce.

Take a small saucepan and put in a good big scoop of butter and let it melt. Have a lot of heat for this.

When the butter is melted, add a tablespoon of flour. The more flour you use, the more sauce you'll get.

Mix this so it looks like dough crumble. Then add a sip of milk, and mix it together till it is thick. Then add more milk. Repeat until you get a nice saucy mixture (but not too thick. The powder from the noodles will make it thick as well) Make sure to stir well, because it can easily get burned!

Add the taste powder from the noodle packages to the sauce. You don't need to have a lot of heat on now. Only in case that the sauce got too thin, then let it boil some more and then take the heat off.

As an option, you can add a chili sauce to give it some more spice. This one also contains some other ingredients than chili, which gives the sauce a good asian taste. I use a table spoon chilisauce.

The Noodles

When the water is boiling, add the noodles. These one only have to boil in 3 minutes. Make sure to read the cooking time on the package.

Then remove the water from the noodles.

As an option you can add eggs. This will add some protein and make the dish saturate more.

Put the noodles back in the pot - do not put it back on the heat though. Add 1 egg (or 2 if you use 4 packages of noodles and like the egg. But 1 is also enough.) Just mix the egg with the noodles, the heat from the pot and the noodles should be enough to let the egg cook. Don't put on more heat or else the egg will get over cooked and the noodles will be dry.

Ready to Serve!
