Lightsaber Handle

If you have watched Star Wars, this is the handle of one of the Lightsabers found in the shows and movies. Its not as detailed as it is in the movies, but it is a simple design and it was printed big enough to be held. A blade could be 3D printed and glued onto the Lightsaber in the hole at the top.

To begin making the Lightsaber, it is easiest to start by creating a new sketch. On this sketch, create connecting lines to make a shape similar to this shape above. The design of the Lightsaber doesn't matter as long as there is a handle, which is the long line in the image above. Make sure the sketch is closed, meaning the sketch begins at the origin and there is a line connecting back to the origin to close off the shape.

After you have completed the sketch and made sure the sketch is a closed shape, revolve the sketch around the x-axis. The "Revolve" option can be found under the "Solid" tab.

The final step in Fusion 360 is to scale it. In the "Solid" tab, under "Modify" there is a "Scale" option, select the body to scale, and then make the handle a good size that is able to fit into the measurements of the 3D printer and is able to be held.

After making it in Fusion 360, I printed it out. However, the top of it didn't print right so I had to reprint it with the top alone and glue it on. In the end, it came out well.
