Laser Cut Skeeball
Skeeball, a classic arcade game that is played around the world. Bring this fun game right to your home, where you can play this arcade classic whenever you want! Even better, you get to build the game yourself!
Supplies
- Wood
- Hot glue gun
- Flexible wood (I don't know where I originally got it from)
- Micron pen
- Paint and brush
- Popsicle sticks
Design in Fusion 360
First using the wonderful Fusion 360 software, an innovative tool for hobbyists or professionals, start to design the Skeeball ramp.
Laser Cutting
Next, laser cut the following pieces
- 12x1 inch rectangle (x2)
- 12x4 inch rectangle (x1)
- 5 3/4x4 inch rectangle with 1 inch holes (x1)
- 6x6x6 inch triangle (x2)
Assembling the Laser Cut Pieces
Attach the two triangles to the rectangle with holes going through it as shown above. Next, attach the two long pieces to the base as shown in image two. Next glue the two pieces together as shown in the third image.
The Ramp
Cut a 2 3/4x3 1/2 inch rectangle out of flexible wood. Secure it as shown in the second image.
The Ball Retrieval System
cut a 7 3/4x4 inch rectangle out of flexible wood and glue it to the back of the project as shown in image one. glue on a popsicle stick to the bottom and cut of the access so it looks just like the fourth image.
The Score
Write how much each target is worth by writing the number of points awarded if the ball goes through it underneath.
Decorate
Decorate however you would like, and make this build really your own.
