Laser Cut Butterfly Wall Sticker

• CO2 laser cutter (We used a Trotec Speedy 400 120W with a 2" lens with a larger diameter hole laser cone head)
• Aluminum cutting grid table or honeycomb table
• 1 sheet TroLase Thins Euro gold brushed/black (item no. LT754-202 - available at link below)
• Removable, double-sided adhesive tape

Print Settings

• Process Mode: Relief

Tip: Using a lower resolution will allow for a quicker processing time. We imported our graphic at 500 dpi. Within your print settings optimizing your geometries and inner geometries first will also allow for a quicker processing time.

The specified parameters refer to the butterfly in large format (engravings in grayscale, cutting lines in red). The duration for cutting the large motif is only approx. 3 min, the engraving duration is approx. 35 min. If you want to keep the production time of the wall sticker as short as possible, you can hide the pre-meter settings for the engraving color black. Only the red cutting lines are executed, the time-consuming engravings are omitted. In order to make the best possible use of the large format of the material, you can add 6 smaller butterflies (level 2, blue lines) to the template. Then adjust the parameter settings for the blue cutting lines according to your quality requirements. If you prefer a full-surface gluing of the wall sticker, you can also order the TroLase Thins with self-adhesive foil on the back.

Now make the parameter settings. Our suggested parameters may vary depending on the laser machine used and the available laser power. Remove the protective film from the surface of the TroLase Thin and then place the material - with the gold side up - on the aluminum grid table in your laser. Tape the remaining narrow edge to create the best possible vacuum.

When you are finished processing, take the butterfly out of the laser machine. Remove the dust by carefully cleaning the wall sticker with a soft, damp cloth. Then, glue a few pieces of the double-sided adhesive tape onto the back of the wall sticker. Arrange the decoration however you'd like!
