Quick reference sheets, phone listings, and reusable templates are all documents most office professionals have on their desk and use routinely. What happens with those documents over time? They become worn, torn, stained and unusable. Laminating is a quick and easy fix to protect your documents in the office.

Supplies

1. Laminating Machine

2. Laminating Sleeves

3. Paper Documents

Upon completion of this instruction, you will have a basic understanding of how to protect your documents by using a laminator.

Plug Laminator Into Outlet

Ensure a level working space such as a desk is clear of clutter. Find the closest outlet and plug the power cord into the outlet.

Turn ON Laminator

Locate the power switch on the laminating machine. Flip the switch to the ON position.

Select Applicable Thickness Setting

One the laminator powers on, select the desired thickness of laminating sleeve you have. An audible "BEEP" will sound to indicate the laminator is ready to laminate at the selected thickness.

Place Document Into Laminating Sleeve

Place the document between the two sheets of the laminating sleeve. The paper should not extrude from beyond the sleeve and a margin should remain around the document.

Feed Sleeve Through Laminator

Laminator

Insert the sleeve so that the sealed portion of the laminating sleeve goes into the laminator first. Models may vary in which direction the laminator operates.

WARNING: Product will remain hot for several seconds after coming out of the laminator.

Inspect Laminated Document

Inspect the document to ensure the laminating sleeve has melted and sealed evenly over the document.

Switch the Laminator OFF

When finished, switch the power to the OFF position.

Unplug the Power Cord

Unplug the power cord from the outlet. Secure power cord for storage and to prevent damage.

Allow laminator to cool before storing.
