Knex Shelving Units

Ladies and gentlemen! Today I am brining you something I have never thought of before. Today, you will be making shelving units! There are 3 kinds of shelving units I have made: the hanging shelf, the hanging corner shelf, and the floor shelf.

The hanging shelf is able to hang on any form of low wall because the hangers are able to fit on these walls demonstrated by the pictures. This can be good for if you are a model railroader and you have your layout running upstairs and you want it to go downstairs. If you make multiple of these you can have it along the wall going down the stairs, or simply hang it on a door. You'll just have to measure the length of the hanger to fit the door, although the door won't close, if you're ok with that.

The corner shelf is a shelf that is able to fit in a wall corner (seen in the pictures). Although not too much room to put things on, it is still a good add on to the shelving group. You may not needed it, but I thought I might just add it on.

The floor shelving unit is just simple. It sits on the floor up against a wall, a corner of a wall, a couch, etc. It's perfect for being next to your bed, in your bathroom, in the kitchen, pretty much anywhere you can think of, as long as in a corner (reason being it is better for organization).

All these shelving units will be built in one step, so be careful.

Follow these pictured steps to complete this shelving unit. Heads up: If you want, you can add more shelving to fit entirely more stuff. Like said above, you can shorten the hanger length to fit doors snugly and tight (maybe not tight). When on a low wall, to take it off, simply twist the red connectors 180 degrees and lift up the shelf.

This corner shelf is fit just right for fit on a corner wall. Not too many things will be able to fit, though. On the 4th picture, make 2 of these, the first one being the one in the picture. You can make more, but I was only able to make 2 layers. The legs for the shelving unit are the red rods. The top rods are yellow. There is also the block to not let the stuff fall out.

This can be for water bottles, or anything you can fit in here. To put stuff on the bottom shelf, simply take off all the other shelves all in one piece.

Well, that's it! Hope you find this helpful!! Some of the parts on the hanging shelf has been taken off to use as other parts, so if you see anything missing from the intro or here, that is why. Also, let me know in the comments how many miscellaneous orange connectors (not on the builds) did you find? Until next time, see you guys later!
