Kinder Bueno Cheesecake
Do you have any new years resolutions? Well, mine is certainly not 'no more sugar', because I don't want to miss out on the heavenly Kinder Bueno chocolate candy. Do you know what it is? I suppose that everyone in Europe should know. These heavenly treats are a serious addiction, so I thought it would be more than appropriate to bake a cake out of it. Not just any cake, a cheesecake! Wow!
Ingredients
8 packets of Kinder Bueno
700 gr / 25 oz of MonChou or any other full cream cheese
150 gr / 5 oz Caster sugar
80 gr / 3 oz Whole cream butter
5 Eggs (from which 2 split leaving only the yolk)
2 tbs Self raising flour
200 gr / 7 oz Chocolate chip cookies
1 bar of Dark chocolate
125 gr / 4.4 oz Crème Fraîche
You'll also need a spring cake tin and a hand mixer.
The Bottom of the Cake
This is the easiest part. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees C (356 degrees F). Make sure the butter has been out of the fridge for a while, so it's nice and soft. Now crumble the cookies in a bowl and knead the butter through it. Make sure everything is mixed up okay. Now put a baking sheet on the bottom of the tin and spread the cookiestuff all over the bottom. Put it in the oven for about 15 minutes, get it out and let it cool.
Making the Cheesecake
Now put your oven on 200 degrees C (392 degrees F). Get the cream cheese and put it in a mixing bowl. Mix it with the hand mixer until it's smooth. Open 5 packets of Kinder Bueno (that's 10 bars), put them in a bowl and crush them. Now put it in a microwave for a minute. Put the sugar, flour and molten Buenos in the mixing bowl with the cream cheese and mix it well for a bit. Get the two egg yolks and three whole eggs and mix them though the cheesemixture. Pour everything into the baking tin and put it in the oven for about 15 minutes. Get it out and change the temperature to 100 degrees C (212 degrees F). Loosen the edges with a knife. That will prevent the cake from cracking when you want to get it out. Now put the cake back in the oven and let it bake for 1 hour. After the hour, let it cool in the oven first and after that you can let it cool on the counter.
Making It Pretty!
Now for the best part! Prep your decorations by breaking the leftover Kinder Buenos and melting half the bar of dark chocolate. I also used some chocolate sprinkles I had lying around, but you don't really need them. Get a teaspoon and go all Bob Ross on the cake. A splash here and a streak there, you know the drill! Put the Kinder Bueno parts on the chocolate artwork and voila, the most heavenly cheesecake in the world. I think this is my best cake yet. Everyone who tasted it was blown away. And the best thing is, it goes straight to your thighs. Down the drain with your new years resolutions! Bah!
