James Webb Teleskope Mirror

I liked the design of the James Webb Telescope and saw some people building something similar, so i thought imma give it a try too.

Supplies

  1. 1x Plywood 60x60cmx1cm
  2. 18x Self sticking Hexagon Mirrors
  3. Electric saw
  4. Grinder
  5. Black paint
  6. hand milling machine

First i put the mirrors in the correct order. Then i marked them in the right orientation. You dont have to do this, but my mirrors where fairly cheap and werent a perfect match.

After that i outlined the mirrors on my plywood and added about 2cm to each side.

Cut out the form and round up the edges with the grinder. Do some sanding and spraypaint 2-3 layers of black Paint.

Peel of the sticky side and attatch the mirrors on the wood. Done!
