Jack-o-lantern Cake

IMG_4897.JPG

I decided I was going to make a pumpkin shaped cake. I chose to make a cake because I really like to bake. This cake will be a vanilla cake with pumpkin icing to help stick the cakes together! You will need 2 boxes of yellow cake mix. I will use orange icing for the outside of the pumpkin. I will use green and brown fondant to make the stem and leaves. Lastly I will use black fondant to make the face on the pumpkin

Supplies

2 bows, any mixing utensil, rolling pin, a knife, and 2 bunt pans

Take a container of regular cool whip and add in 1 cup of pumpkin puree and a one teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, once first cake is done put on a thick layer of your icing just on top of the cake. Bake the 2nd cake.

Sticking Both Cakes Together

Once your 2nd cake is done and cooled you can carve off the top so its flat and then put it on top of your first cake.
