Ice Cream Cake Pops

We made cake pops that look like mini ice cream cones.

Supplies

Tools

  • Whisk
  • Stand mixer
  • Bowl
  • Baking pan
  • Wire rack 
  • Oven
  • Measuring cups/spoons 
  • Microwave 

Ingredients

Cake

  • 1 ⅔ cups- all purpose flour
  • ½ tsp- baking powder
  • ¼ tsp- baking soda
  • ½ tsp- salt
  • 1 stick- unsalted butter
  • 1 cup- granulated sugar
  • 1- large egg
  • 2 tsp- pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup- whole milk

Frosting

  • 7 tbsp- unsalted butter
  • 1 ¾ cups- confectioners sugar
  • 2-3 tsp- heavy cream
  • 1 tsp- pure vanilla extract


Mix All Cake Ingredients Together

Make cake of your choice.

1- mix all dry ingredients together in medium bowl

Whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a medium bowl.

2- mix wet ingredients in stand mixer

Beat the butter and sugar together in a large bowl until creamed, about 2 minutes. Add the egg and vanilla extract and beat on high speed until combined.

3- add dry and wet ingredients together

on low speed, add the dry ingredients and milk to the wet ingredients until combined.


Bake Cake

1- cook cake

Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 30-36 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean

2- let cake cool

Let cake cool completely

Make Frosting

Step 3: Make the Frosting

Beat the butter on medium speed until creamy, about 2 minutes. Add confectioners’ sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract with the mixer running on low.




Crumble Cake

Step 3: Mix the cake and Frosting

Crumble the cooled cake into the bowl on top of the frosting. Make sure there are no large lumps. Turn the mixer on low and beat the frosting and cake crumbles together until combined.

Make Cake Balls

Step 5: Roll the Cake Balls

Roll 1 Tbsp of cake mixture into a ball. Repeat until no more cake mixture. Refrigerate for up to an hour.


Coat Cake Balls

Step 6: Coat the cake pops

Melt the white chocolate. Dip the cake ball into the coating until it is completely covered. Refrigerate. 

Decorate

Step 7: Decorate

Use melted chocolate and sprinkles to decorate, then place in mini cones.

Conclution

These are an amazing, fun project to make. They taste amazing and look so cute.
