How to Make a Cursor/Pointer for Windows
Hello, this is my instructable for making a basic cursor. I will not only show you how
to make a cursor/pointer, but I will also show you how to apply the cursor that you made
on windows. It will turn out something like this.

Adjusting the Hot Spot
Open up artcursors and create a new cursor. In this step we will adjust the hot spot.
The hot spot is the place where the cursor reacts. On the normal cursor, it is at the tip. But in artcursors it is at the very top left. If you want to adjust the hot spot, then go to the menu->cursor->hot spot. It judges location by using X and Y axis. But make sure you make a mark of where you adjusted the hot spot.

Creating a Design
Next, is to create a design. What are you going to do? Are you going to create a cursor
entirely out of pure skill or are you going to be cheap and cut off a picture or a sprite from
google images or somewhat similiar website. I am going to use a random video game sprite that pops up in my head. And the first thing I think about is mario. (credit to A.J. Nitro of spriters resource for sprite.) Draw your design near your hot spot and then save it to the desktop or a folder.

Applying the Cursor for Use
Now, when you're done saving, go to Programs->control panel->mouse. Then
you go to the tab labeled pointers. Click on browse and find your cursor from the desktop.
The pointer icon "normal select" will turn into the cursor that you designed. Click on Save as
and type the cursor name in. Click apply and your normal cursor will turn into the cursor that
you made.
