How to Use Coconut Oil on Skin

Coconut Oil.jpg

Coconuts not only taste great but when created into oil form is nature's super (and I mean superrr) gift. It contains Vitamin E, essential amino acids, and high levels of lauric and caprylic acid. These acids are antibacterial, anti-fungal, antimicrobial and antiviral. In layman terms, coconut oil will form part of the barrier function of your skin and aid in maintaining your skin's natural floral (the good bugs)! No wonder there's a real hype around this super oil. There's major goodness in this one amazing-smelling oil! Many are wondering how to use the very oily coconut oil on skin. Believe it or not - you can apply it directly on your skin!

Supplies

Cold-Pressed, Virgin Coconut Oil (Yes, those off the cooking shelf in supermarkets are fine too! I use the COCO REPUBLIC Oil you see in the image above.)

Apply the oil directly on your skin. As you can see from the image above, 100% pure, cold pressed coconut oil is runny at room temperature (or tropical temperature as I am from Singapore. :p) Directly apply the lotion all over your body as you would a regular moisturizer. Because it is antibacterial and antifungal, a recommended area to apply it is the feet. Massage it on your nails and see your nails glow after continued usage! The best time to put coconut oil on your skin is after you bathing, while your skin is still wet, to trap the moisture from the water that is already on your body in! I would suggest that you wear a long sleeve top and pants. From personal experience, it is not easy to wash an oily floor! If you are applying on your feet, wear socks.

Keep up the application and see a marked difference in skin texture in as early as days!
