What you will need:

· Paper/Kitchen towels

· Cotton swabs

· Rubbing alcohol (90% or higher)

· CPU thermal paste

Before you start:

· Shut down the computer.

· Unplug all of the cables from the back of the computer.

· Take proper electrostatic discharge (esd) precautions.

Remove the fan connector from the fan header.

Turn the push pins with fingers or a flat screwdriver counterclockwise 90 degrees to release them.

Pull up the push pins.

Remove the fan.

How to Apply Thermal Paste

you should replace the thermal paste if you remove your cooler for any reason.

Dip a soft cloth or tissue in the isopropyl alcohol and gently remove the previously applied thermal paste. Wait for a while until the alcohol dry before installation.

Inject the thermal paste from the syringe to the center of the processor

Note : Always replace the thermal paste. Never add new thermal paste on top of used thermal paste.

Turn the push pins clockwise 90 degrees to reset them.

Reinsert the fan.

Press the push pins in the order shown to secure them.
