Yahoo! Powered is a malware that comes with free software. It infects your computer and starts showing advertisements on the desktop. It can change your usual search engine to us.search.yahoo.com and can transfer you to infected sites.

Now at first, try to delete in the traditional way but if it doesn't work then you have to use a third-party application which is described below.

First, open the Windows search bar (Win + S) and type "appwiz.cpl" which will open a "Uninstall or change a program" window.

Then, click the "Yahoo! Powered" program and click the "Uninstall/Change" option.

Note: This method may work for some and may not work for others including me and thus we are going to take help from a third-party application.

Revo Uninstaller

Now if the previous step doesn't work for you or you want to remove any traces of this malware, download Revo Uninstaller.

Revo Uninstaller is an uninstaller for Microsoft Windows. It uninstalls programs and additionally removes any files and Windows registry entries left behind by the program's uninstaller or by the Windows uninstall function.

Go to https://www.revouninstaller.com/ and download it, then install it onto your PC.

Now it's time to remove this malware forever.

Open the application and search for "Yahoo! Powered".

Once found, select it and then press "Uninstall" from the toolbar.

A pop-up window will open, De-select the "Make a system restore point before uninstall" and press "Continue".

Now a scanning window appears, select the "Advanced" scan option and it will display all the leftover registry items of the malware.

Click "Select All" and then the "Delete" option. This will remove the malware and all of its leftover items from your PC.
