How to Prepare Delicious Chicken Gravy at Home

Prepare delicious chicken gravy at home by following a few steps

Chicken gravy is an awesome dish for lunch or dinner. Making good chicken gravy is not tough if you know the proper ingredients. This dish is something that makes a simple dinner or lunch outstanding.

Well, without any delay, let’s get started with the ingredients.

Ingredients:

Mustard oil- 5tbsp

Bay Leaf- 2 small

Cinnamon- 2 small pieces

Cloves- 4 pieces

Cardamom- 3 pieces

Coriander Powder- 1 tbsp

Garam masala powder- 1 tbsp

kasuri methi

Chopped onion- 1 cup

Garlic paste 2 tbsp

Ginger paste- 1 tbsp

Chopped green chili- 2-3

Tomato paste- 3 tbsp

Salt- As per taste

Turmeric- 1tbsp

Red chili powder-1tbsp

Curd-1 tbsp

Chicken- 500 gm

These are the things that you need.

First of all, take a pan and place that in the oven. Keep the flame medium. After heating the pan give mustard oil.

Once the oil becomes hot, add bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, and green cardamoms. After a few minutes, add 1 cup of chopped onion and green chilies. Fry the onions until they become golden brown.

Now, add ginger garlic paste and sauté these for 2-3 minutes. At this stage, add tomato paste, turmeric, garam masala, and salt. Now fry until the raw smell disappears.

After that, add red chili powder and curd. In case you are not interested to add curd, you can add cashew nuts or almonds. Mix all the ingredients quite well and add a half cup of water. After that, sauté on a medium flame and you can also blend all these (it is optional).

Now, add chicken and coriander powder and mix these well. After a few minutes, you will notice that the color of the chicken is getting pale. Now, cover the pan and keep the flame low. In the meantime, you can add lukewarm water for gravy. Now, cook the chicken until it becomes soft. Here one thing is to be said that is, don’t cook at high temperature.

Last but not the least, add coriander or mint leaves or kasuri methi for garnishing.
