How to Make an Open Me Card-envelope
In this instructable, I will teach you how to make an Open Me card-envelope. There is also an video for this.
Supplies
For making this card-envelope, you will need:
- A piece of paper
- Colour pencils/pen/something to draw & write
The Crease
Take out your paper and make a crease by folding in half from long side to long side.
Folding Like a Paper Airplane
In this step, you will have to fold the paper like how the basic first fold of a normal paper airplane would look, using the crease as a guide. Repeat for the other side. (do this on the long sides extremes)
Folding Sides to Middle
Now fold both the long sides to the middle crease.
Folding the Tips
Fold the sort of diamond shapes you see on the corners in half. (For both the sides)
Folding in 1/3rds
Now you should be seeing a rectangle. Fold the paper from the long ends into 3 parts. Fold it to make it cover the plain space (without any folds).
Finishing the Craft Off
For the second last step, insert the corners of of the flap that is on the top into the otherflap, which is under it by bending the top flap.
Decorate!
Now you can let your imagination run wild and decorate your card as you want. Add in the greeting inside the card. Simply pull the flap to open as one of the video shows!
