How to Make a Table Lamp Using Glass Block
I'm showing you how I made the Glass Block Lamp using cement. You can make it by making a mold using PVC film and Foamex, and pouring cement dough into the mold. You can see a brief description of how to make the Glass Block Lamp here, or you can watch a video that shows how to make it in more detail. If you want a manual, you can click the link in the video information.
Supplies
foamex(1mm), tape, PVC(0.3mm), USB LED light(100*40*10mm), glass block(115*115*80mm), instant adhesive, sandpaper, double-sided tape, mortar cement
Cutting According to the Drawing
Step 1. Download the PDF in the video information and print it on A4. And then cut the Foamex(1mm) and PVC(0.3mm) plates according to the drawing.
Assembling the Parts
Step 2. The size of the drawing and the actual product may differ. So, cut it to actual size and fit it.
Gluing the Parts
Step 3. Attach the PVC and foamex parts using adhesive.
Attaching the LED Module
Step 4. Attach the led module to the glass block. The button and USB terminal must be in contact with the side.
Attaching Supports to the Mold
Step 5. Cut the wooden sticks and attach them to the corners of the mold to prevent the shape from being distorted.
Pouring Cement Dough
Step 6. Make the cement dough and pour it into the mold toward the bottom.
Removing the Mold
Step 7. Once hardened, carefully remove the mold.
Done!
Step 8. The Glass Block Lamp has been completed.
