How to Make a Some What European Style Cardboard Roulette

Roulette is a simply game you play by putting chips that are worth money on a number you are betting the ball will land on. Of course in this version you don't have to make people buy the chips, but you still can. Try making this game and impress your family on your next family game night.

For this project you will need water, paint brushes, red, black, white, and green paint, a silver and black sharpie, a ruler, scissors, a protractor, a ball bearing, a cap to an old fidget spinner, short Popsicle sticks, and LOTS OF CARDBOARD!

You will need to make 12 sectors. You can get this done quickly by using your ruler to make six straight lines up, down, diagonal, etc.

Choose one pocket and paint it green. Now all you need to do is starting with black on the right or left pocket next to the green one paint every other pocket with this color. Now all you need to do is paint the remaining pockets red.

Starting with the green pocket use your silver sharpie to number it zero. Now starting on the right side label the pockets in this order 5, 12, 3, 10, 1, 8, 9, 2, 7, 6, and finally 11.

Cut out two circles of the same size and hot glue them in the middle. Make 12 right triangles and hot glue them on each line that separates the different ball pockets.

Roll up a piece of paper and tape it. Cut it to about 6 cm in height. Hot glue your two Popsicle sticks on top diagonally, and hot glue the other end of the paper to the top center of the circles you just glued in.

On the bottom center of the wheel-head hot glue the bearing and put on the cap from your old fidget spinner.

I know that this is just a drawing, but I forgot to take a picture of the bottom of the base. Please bare with me. Cut out a piece of cardboard that kind of looks like a combination of a square and a circle.

Hot glue the bottom of the cap to the top of the bottom layer of the base. Hot glue a card board out line on the edges of the bottom of the base. Cut out another cardboard circle square looking thing. In the middle of the circle part cut out a smaller circle that is bigger than the wheel, and hot glue the piece to the top.

For this step all you need to do is hot glue a card board out line on the edges of the wheel.

Make a grid of 12 squares. Paint the first one green, then black, then red, then black, then red, then black, then red, then black, then red, then black, then red, and finally black. Now all you need to do is label them in the order of 0, 11, 6, 7, 2, 9, 8, 1, 10, 3, 12, and 5.

All you can really do to customize is to paint the non painted parts with whatever color paint.

Cut out a small cardboard circle. Draw a slightly smaller circle inside. Take blue paint and paint the outer circle, and take white paint and paint the inner circle. Finally using a black sharpie write the number in which the chip is worth.
