How to Make a SMIPLE CARDBOARD Hot Glue Gun Stand
How might I, Nathanael, instruct my friends to make a simple hot glue gun stand, using cardboard and a zip snip, so that they won't get frustrated when their hot glue gun doesn't want to stand up by itself.
Supplies
You will need
- Cardboard
- Hot glue gun
- box cutter/zip-snip
- Ruler
- exacto knife
- pencil
Measure Hot Glue Gun
Get your ruler and hot glue gun, measure the width of your hot glue gun with the ruler.
Make Outline
Make an outline for your hot glue gun stand using the width measurement.
Cut Cardboard
Cut out the outline using the Zip snip and use the exacto knife to cut out where the hot glue gun will be resting on. Make sure to use the zip snip facing away from your body and use the exacto knife properly.
Add Support
Now that you have the main piece of cardboard you can cut out another small piece of cardboard to support the hot glue gun stand, cut a slit big enough for the small piece of cardboard in the main piece and then insert the small piece into the slit.
Finish
You know have a simple cardboard hot glue gun stand. You can add any material under the stand to collect the hot glue and so that it won't ruin your work surface.
