Majority of us are hoarders of all kinds of hangers. Despite having enough hangers at home, we still buy new sets from time to time. We are all guilty of keeping the old ones even after we have bought new sets. Instead of throwing them away, i was able to convert them into a mini coffee table or nightstand. You can make use of your old hangers and turn them into a coffee table.

Materials:

4 wooden coat hangers (choose the ones that lay mostly flat and don’t curve up or down)

2 piece of wood, 59*30 cm

2 piece of wood, 15*30 cm

2 piece of wood, 25*11 cm

2 piece of wood, 49.5x11 cm

2 piece 250 mm long drawer slides.

L brackets 4

Tools:

- Japanese saw

- Screwdriver

- Pocket hole holder

- Right angle ruler

- Milling machine

- Orbital sander

- Clamps

First of all, I have made the legs out of hangers. I folded two hangers and drilled them and connected with screws

Now I will make the case of the box. I used 2 boards 59x30 cm and 2 boards 30x15 cm. I cut them with my Japanese saw and sanded them with sandpaper.

I connected the Board with the help of clamps and drilled the holes. Then I added carpenter's glue PVA and connected the boards with screws

In order not to see the holes from the screws, I will connect the top of the box to the hidden connections. I used a conductor for hidden connections. It is very easy to use. This is a great option for beginners. It remains to wait until the glue dries.

When the glue dried, I decided to round the sharp corners with an edge cutter. Then I sanded it with sandpaper. I covered the resulting box with Watco Danish oil

Now I will make a pull-out shelf. I used 2 boards 25x11 cm and 2 boards 49. 5x11 cm. I made a groove with a milling cutter. The bottom of the plywood box will be inserted into this slot. For the drawer, I used a 250 mm long drawer slides.

Now I did a facade for a pull-out drawer. I painted it white and screwed on the handle.

It's time to attach the legs to the box. I used L-shaped corners. To add stability to the nightstand, I connected the legs with the help of slats.

Here is such a nightstand I got.

IT can be used as a coffee table, as a stand for a projector, or a bedside shelf. Now all my remote controls will be in their place)
