How to Make a Hanging Planter (with a Yogurt Container)
I made this because I thought it could add some color to our garden and I hadn't done a instructables project for a while so I thought I would do this one. Make sure you water your plants everyday or so so that they will survive.
Supplies
A yogurt container
Some compost or good soil (not sand or dirt!)
Nail
Hammer/Brick
Rope (it must be thin)
Any type of plants will do
Skewer
Setting Up the Yogurt Container
Knock some holes in the yogurt container parallel to each other this is where you will thread the rope through so you can hang it up. After you have done that thread the rope through the holes (make sure the hole is big enough) from the inside.
Compost
Fill the yogurt container about 1 inch or 2.5 cm from the top of the container. Make sure you wet the top of the compost a little bit. After this you can now put in some dirt to layer it (put a little bit!). You must wet the dirt until it becomes almost like mud.
Time for the Fun Part
In this step you will add the plants. I found these plants in my garden, I will give you the name to the plants that I used if you want to know. After you have collected your plants (make sure the plant still have the root) poke holes in the mud with your skewer and then put the plants inside. I also used a few rocks. The plants that I used were: Artemisia abrotanum and Chlorophytum comosum.
Thank you for doing my instructable.
