How to Make a Fun Sensory Bottle!

Sensory bottles are fun and simple activities for kids of all ages to create! They’re relaxing tool for anxious individuals. There are also many types and themes you can customize your sensory bottles to be such as:

• Glitter sensory bottle
• Ocean themed
• Space-themed
• Seasonal themed

You can be as creative as you want!

Today we will be making a space-themed sensory bottle

How to make a sensory bottle?

You will need:

• A glass or firm plastic water bottle (any size with a lid)
• Oil
• Clear glue
• Water
• Alcohol
• Food colouring (optional)
• Glitter (for a space theme we are using purple, pink, yellow, and blue)
• Small add-ins pieces (for our space theme we are using a big glow in the dark star and small white flower glitter as our “stars”)
• 1/4 measuring cup

All of these materials can be found in the Dollar Store.

Make sure the glass or bottle you use is properly cleaned and comes with a lid. If you want, you can decorate your glass or bottle. We decorated ours using acrylic paint.

First, fill your bottle or jar of choice a third of the way with oil.

Then, after adding the oil, fill your jar or bottle another third of the way with water.

After that, pour clear glue another 1/3 of the way .

Add your food dye of choice! We chose blue food coloring since we are going for space-themed sensory bottle. This step is totally optional! You don't have to if you don't want to!

Pour 1/4 of a cup of alcohol (hand sanitizer) into your jar.

Now it’s time to decorate your sensory bottle!

Add as much glitter as you want of any colour!

Now is also the perfect time to add the little add-ins! Be as creative and crazy as you want!

You are free to create and add whatever you want to your jar! Sensory bottles are fun activities for people of all ages to participate in. Now you can relax and enjoy your new sensory bottle!
