How to Make a 555 Timer Blink Circuit on a PCB!

In this instructable I will be showing you how to make a Jacks How2s 555 Timer Blink PCB Kit! The kit was designed by myself and can be purchased from my store on my WEBSITE or EBAY the kits include all of the necessary components and a high quality PCB for only $10 USD. Also purchasing the kit helps me make more instructables!

Step 1

Start by placing the 555 timer ic into the U1 space with the notch on the ic corresponding to the notch on the PCB and fix in place with solder.

Step 2

Place the 330/220uF capacitor into the C1 socket making sure that the longer leg of the capacitor is in the + hole and the shorter one in the other, then fix in place with solder.

Step 3

Place the resistors in their correct hole then solder in place.

R1= 330R R2= 4.7K R3= 1K

Place the Led in the socket labelled D1 with the flat side of the led corresponding with the flat side on the PCB again solder the legs in place.

Lastly connect the red wire to the + hole of the PCB and the black wire to the –hole of the PCB solder the wires in place.

Connect a 9 Volt battery to the battery clip and the LED should flash/strobe! If not please read the instructions and check the position of the components.
