How to Make Strawberry Panna Cotta

Strawberry Panna Cotta sounds fancy and all but if I told you that it was easy, would you make it? There isn’t that many ingredients needed, and you get a beautiful refreshing custard dessert perfect for summer or to wow your people. Of course, you can make this dessert even fancier but let’s be real, I’m not about that life. I just want to eat the creamy smooth refreshing strawberry dessert. Haha hopefully you guys are wanting to make it because it’s pretty simple and delicious. If you do, follow along step by step and watch my video tutorial. Let’s go!

Supplies

Ingredients

  • 1-pound fresh strawberries
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 ½ teaspoons unflavored gelatin powder (1 envelope)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream

Blend the Strawberries

Cut the tops off the strawberries and add the strawberries to a blender and blend until very smooth.

Do NOT add any extra liquid in the strawberries.

Run Strawberries Through Sieve

Push the strawberry mixture through a fine mesh sieve or a nut bag to remove the seeds and set aside.

Add Milk and Gelatin

Add the milk to a medium saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the surface and let stand for 10 minutes.

Add Sugar, Salt and Strawberries

Add the sugar, salt and pureed strawberries to the milk and gelatin mixture. Heat over high heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches 135 degrees F (about 2 minutes).

Combine All Ingredient

Take it off the heat. Add the vanilla and heavy cream to a pitcher that has a spout and stir to combine then add the strawberry mixture and combine.

Set Over Ice Water

Set pitcher over ice and water. Stir frequently until the mixture cools to 50 degrees F (about 10 minutes).

Pour Into Ramekins

Distribute evenly among the ramekins. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
